With competition in eight men’s sports and 10 women’s sports, Florida Atlantic University is a formidable player on the college sports circuit. When not facing off against their rivals, the FAU Owls offer a robust selection of 15 facilities for rent. Swimmers and divers, take note of FAU’s Aquatic Center, whose Olympic-sized pool has hosted the National Independent Collegiate Conference Championships and for years has served as the winter training facility for hundreds of collegiate swimmers. It also features a diving well for 1- and 3-meter events. The crown jewel in FAU’s sports portfolio, the 30,000-seat FAU Stadium, is home to the Cheribundi Boca Raton Bowl each December, which is broadcast annually on the ESPN family of networks. The stadium is built on natural turf, and includes 23 private boxes on two suite levels, a luxury Premier Club level, an open air Priority Club level with Cabana Bar, and a media/broadcast press box level. Outside of football season, the stadium is host to year-round events such as the Major League Lacrosse All-Star Game, USA Men’s and Women’s National Soccer Teams, international soccer teams, and the NCAA Women’s Soccer College Cup. Additional sports facilities at FAU include the Abessinio Court at FAU Arena, a tennis complex, a soccer stadium, a baseball and softball stadium, a track & field complex and a beach volleyball complex.
