Okeeheelee Park

7715 Forest Hill Blvd, West Palm Beach, FL 33413

Multi-Sport

At 1,700 acres, Okeeheelee Park is a West Palm Beach landmark—a verdant paradise for athletes and their supporters, and an inviting catch-all for sports both common and unusual. One of the most versatile venues in Palm Beach County, Okeeheelee includes eight tennis courts (currently open for day play only), six pickleball courts and one grass volleyball court. Five lighted baseball fields (three measuring 198 feet left, right and center, the fourth 273 in all directions) and four lighted softball fields (all of which measure 300 feet left, right and center) touch all the bases, while four lighted multipurpose fields are ideal for soccer, rugby, lacrosse and football. The park not only contains a 27-hole public championship golf course; it is also one of the few venues in the region with an 18-hole course for disc golf, an emerging sport combining the challenges of golf with the whimsical fun of competitive Frisbee.

For visiting competitors with a need for speed, Okeeheelee Park houses its own USA BMX track, and is one of only two venues in the county to offer it. From the nearly 10-foot starting hill to the finish lines, Okeeheelee BMX track measures 1,220 feet for amateurs and 1,340 feet for pro riders. Another exclusive attraction is the on-site Shark Wake Park, the wakeboarding brainchild of Greg Norman Jr., son of the legendary golfer. Allowing for the best of wakeboarding without the need for a boat, Shark Wake Park’s high-tech cable system makes it easy for beginners to learn how to wakeboard, and allows advanced riders and pros to go as big as they want, as the park features two full-size 5-tower cable systems—one for beginners and one for advanced athletes. Speaking of aquatic sports, Okeeheelee Park also allows for professional-level water skiing on its vast series of lakes, complete with ramps and courses for slalom, trick, long jump and freestyle.

Other popular attractions there include the mile-long fitness trail, an indoor nature center, Pooch Pines Dog Park. On the south side of the park, you will find the Palm Beach County Jim Brandon Equestrian Center with a nine-mile equestrian trail. Also there are the mountain bike trail, hiking trail and a paved multipurpose trail. With so many options under this park’s umbrella, it’s no wonder Okeeheelee has hosted tournaments and events as diverse as the USA Waterski U.S. Open and National Championships, the USA BMX Sunshine State Nationals, the Cal Ripken World Series, the AYSO State Championships and the First Responder Games.
